Welcome to SPOGA: A Space for Healing, Movement, & Communication
Welcome to SPOGA!
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve been told that creating a blog might help more people find their way to SPOGA - and while the idea of blogging felt unfamiliar at first, the deeper I thought about it, the more I realized: this isn’t just about being seen. It’s about connection - and hey, actually - as a kid I used to l o v e to write! This space is an extension of what we do at the studio - where movement, breath, language, and healing come together.
SPOGA is not just a yoga studio, and not just a therapy space. It’s a home for integrative wellness - where speech-language therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and nervous system support are offered under one roof. You’ll find everything from weekend specialty workshops to private sessions, children’s yoga programs, corporate offerings, and therapeutic movement for recovery. Everything here is designed with intention: to help people find their voice, their strength, and their center.
Whether you’re a parent with questions about your child’s speech, a recovering athlete working with the body again, or someone feeling burnt out and needing a quiet place to land - this work is for you. Our community is truly made up of people in many different chapters of life, but what unites everyone is the desire to feel more connected - mind, body and breath.
I come to this with a background in both clinical speech-language pathology and a decade of teaching yoga, breathwork, and meditation. What I’ve seen time and time again is that healing doesn’t happen in one lane. Sometimes it starts with a stretch, a story, a sound, or even a sigh. This studio reflects that belief - meeting each client and student where they are, and offering practices that help bring balance back to the system as a whole.
This blog will be a space where I’ll share reflections and resources - sometimes educational, sometimes personal. My hope is that these entries feel like little conversations, little notes of love and guidance from me to you. Thank you for being here. I hope you find what you’re looking for - and even if you don’t know what that is, you’re still in the right place.
