The SPOGA Process

Step 1: Getting to Know You

Before our first session, you’ll complete a brief Intake Form to share background information, goals, and any prior evaluation or reports.

This helps your clinician understand your/your child’s unique strengths and needs before we meet, ensuring that every minute of your evaluation is meaningful and intentional.

Step 2: Comprehensive Evaluation

Your evaluation session blends clinical expertise with a compassionate, individualized approach. Depending on your/your child’s needs, it may include:

  • Standardized speech, language, and cognitive assessments

  • Conversational samples and play-based observation

  • Oral-motor and breathwork screening (when appropriate)

  • Discussion of daily communication routines and goals

The goal is not only to identify challenges - but to highlight the potential pathways for growth.

Step 3: Personalized Plan of Care

After your evaluation, you’ll receive a clear summary of findings and customized plan.

Together, we’ll discuss frequency, goals, and holistic supports - whether that means direct therapy, parent coaching, mindfulness-based tools, or integrative practices through the SPOGA Method.

Every plan is build to meet you/your child where you are - merging evidence-based speech therapy with the mind-body connection for lasting growth.

Step 4: Begin Your Sessions

Once your/your child’s plan is in place, therapy sessions begin - each one designed to support progress through mindfulness and meaningful communication.

For children, this might look like story-based learning and sensory play.

For adults, it may include cognitive-linguistic strategies, visualization, or breathwork for speech control and focus.
